Route 4x4 Natural Park Los Alcornocales

We head towards the fertile lowlands of the river Guadalete and the second largest reservoir in Andalusia, the Guadalcacín, we will cross extensive areas of irrigated land and pastures until we reach the Natural Park, the largest in the province with an area of 167,767 hectares, from this point we begin to enjoy a unique landscape, the so-called "last Mediterranean forest", where the Mediterranean forest is in all its splendour with its most representative trees such as the cork oak, gall oak and holm oak: The cork oak, the gall oak and the holm oak.

We arrive at the estate of La Jarda, which belongs to Los Montes de Propios de Jerez (EMEMSA), an estate with an extension of some 6,000 hectares. Among other resources, the main one is the production of cork, with installations prepared for this purpose, which we will be able to observe and interpret. We will travel several kilometres through the interior to admire the landscape and its different ecosystems: peaks, mountains, canutos and meadows, with their different vegetation and fauna, among which we can highlight: Deer, fallow deer and mouflon,

mountain goats and wild boar. We will also enjoy small trails through the canutos (mountain streams), with a surprising lushness and freshness.

In this idyllic place, where civilization disappears, we will drink our glass of Cayetano del Pino wine with good food. We return to the point of origin.
