Information about 4x4 Route Through The White Villages Of The Sierra Of Cadiz - Natural Park Of Grazalema
Jerez is famous for being the birthplace of the Spanish or Carthusian horse, we will have the opportunity to contemplate them in the natural environment, as well as extensive areas of meadows of holm oaks, with the Sierra de Grazalema as a backdrop.
Arcos de la Frontera, the white village of the sierra with its incredible panoramic views and surrounded by the Guadalete river, surprises us among the hills. It is a town with an exciting history and places of great beauty. We will take a nice walk through its narrow streets.
We continue our route along paths to an amazing place in the sierra, which we will not reveal, as we like to be a surprise. We arrive at El Bosque, gateway to the Natural Park and famous for its "Payoyo" cheeses, which we will have the opportunity to taste during the aperitif. In Benamahoma we will enjoy the freshness of the source of the river Majaceite and at this point we will make a stop with beautiful views to enjoy an aperitif with the wines of Cayetano del Pino.
We climb to an altitude of 1,103 metres, the Puerto del Boyar, with impressive views of the Sierra de Grazalema, which on clear days can be seen as far as Cádiz. We arrive at the village that gives its name to the park, Grazalema, listed as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, which we will enjoy after a well-deserved lunch. We return to the starting point.
