The rutting season, a natural spectacle

First we will have to explain what the rut is. It is the special bellowing of rutting deer that happens every year after the summer, between late September and early October, and that can be seen in the province of Cadiz, among other places in the municipality of Jerez, in the Montes de Propios (Los Alcornocales Natural Park).
